YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (5/10/2025) -- A bevy of personal records and three Titans will vie for league titles as day two of the Horizon League Outdoor Championships came to an end for the University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team.
Sophomore
Gabriela Gashaj had one of the best team performances as she was fifth in the 400-meter preliminaries in a career-best 1:02.71, the second-best time ever for a Titan. She also had a PR in the 100mH, taking 19th in 15.06
Junior
McKenzie McNitt earned fifth in the 400-meters in a career time of 56.27, while freshman
Meghan Koss clocked a time of 24.84 in the 200m for the eighth and final spot in the prelims.Â
Freshman
Haley Lipscomb finished the heptathlon in 12th with 3,631 points. Freshman
Ana Lopez placed 16th in the 800m in a season-low 2:20.74, and freshman
Lyla Mullins just missed the podium in the shot put, finishing ninth with a throw of 12.29 meters.
The final day of the event will begin at 10:00 a.m., tomorrow.Â
