DETROIT (3/20/2020) -- A number of former Detroit Mercy men's basketball players are still continuing their playing careers overseas before the pandemic hit and cut short many leagues.
Paris Bass was having a standout season in Puerto Rico for Atleticos de San German and is averaging 24.0 points, 14.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game as the season just began. In his most recent game, he tallied 21 points, 15 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 blocks.
Gerald Blackshear Jr. is in Cyprus for Enosis Neon Paralimni and is tallying 8.0 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists and the team had just moved into the playoffs for the Cypriot OPAP Basket League.
Evan Bruinsma was in Germany posting 9.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game for Bayreuth as the squad competed in the FIBA Europe Cup.
Kameron Chatman was playing in Belgium with Hubo Limburg United in the Belgian Euromillions League and was tallying 6.5 points and 3.2 rebounds in the early part of the season.

Josh McFolley was in Kosovo for Rahoveci and recording 18.3 points, 4.8 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game in his first season.
Nick Minnerath is currently in South Korea with the Seoul Samsung of the South Korean KBL and is averaging 21.0 points and 5.9 rebounds. In one of his last games, he poured in 30 points with eight rebounds in the team's win.
Roschon Prince is in Japan suiting up with Shizuoka in the Japanese B3 League and was averaging 18.5 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
