Women’s Lacrosse Announces 2023 Schedule

The Titans will have seven home games in 2023
DETROIT (12/20/2022) – Seven home games are on the docket for the Titans as the University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse team released its 2023 schedule on Tuesday.

The first two home games will be played indoors at Detroit Country Day High School in Beverly Hills, Michigan, while the rest will be on the new turf on Titan Field.

Detroit Mercy will start the season against a pair of Jesuit schools as Canisius comes to town on Feb. 12 in an indoor affair at Country Day and the Titans visiting Xavier on Feb. 19. A week later on Feb. 26, Butler heads to the Motor City in another game indoors at Country Day.

The rest of the non-conference slate has the Titans at Marquette (Mar. 5) and at Butler (Mar. 25) sandwiched around a home game with Division I newcomer Lindenwood on March 17.

MAC play begins after that as the red, white and blue travel to Central Michigan on March 29 before two-straight home games against newcomer Eastern Michigan on April 1 and Robert Morris on April 8.

The rest of the conference ledger has the Titans at Akron (Apr. 12), home versus Central Michigan (Apr. 15), at Youngstown State (Apr. 22), home against Kent State (Apr. 26) and the regular-season finale at EMU (Apr. 29).

The MAC Championship will once again feature the top four teams in the league and will be held at the top seed. Last year, there was a three-way tie for first with RMU, CMU and YSU all sharing the crown, while the Chippewas won the conference tournament to receive the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The Titans return 25 letter winners, five of their top six point scorers and two of their three goalies from last season.
