AKRON (1/5/22) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's track and field team saw four athletes combine for five personal records during day two of the Akron Invitational Saturday Feb. 5.
Ringing The PR Bell
Every athlete competing at the Akron Invitational that set a new personal record got the opportunity to ring the "PR Bell".
Avery Duncan set a new personal record in the Heptathlon with a total score of 3652 which is 26 points higher than his previous best.
Payton Norkey earned a personal record in the 60-Meter Hurdles with a 8.31 second time. Norkey's time was good enough for third in the Akron Invitational and seventh all-time in Titan's history.
Elijah Major took the final two personal records of the weekend in both the 60-Meter and the 200-Meter Dash. Major placed second in both events with a 6.90 second time in the 60-Meter and a 22.16 second mark in the 200-Meter.
Kyle Foulk set a new personal record in the 3000-Meter Run in the Blue Division with a time of 8:52.99.

Following the record setting weekend in Akron, the red, white, and blue will travel to Allendale, MI. for the Grand Valley State Big Meet Feb. 11-12.
