Elise Harder and junior
Marina Butler scored goals, but it was an uphill battle all game long as the University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse team fell, 27-2, to #18 Notre Dame on Tuesday afternoon.
The game was not originally on the 2022 schedule but was added a few weeks ago as the Titans dropped to 1-10 overall, while the Fighting Irish moved to 5-7.
Harder also added a team-high four draw controls, while senior
Taylor Cantelon pulled down three. Senior
Taryn McManus picked up a team-best two ground balls and freshman
Maddy Camm registered an assist.
Freshman
Meredith Leavell made two saves getting the start in net before giving way to junior
Hannah Shrader and graduate senior
Maddie Johnson, who each finished with one stop apiece.Â
Detroit Mercy will now head back into MAC play as the Titans travel to Central Michigan on Saturday, April 9.Â
