Recap:
• After a scoreless first two innings, Tanguay delivered a RBI single up the middle to score Chapman giving Detroit Mercy (6-36, 6-21 HL) a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning
• The Titans had a chance to increase their lead in the fifth inning but couldn't capitalize on a bases loaded opportunity
• CSU (22-22, 18-8 HL) then took the lead for the first time off a two-run homer in the top of the seventh inning.
• The Titans mounted a rally in the bottom half as Chapman led off the frame with a single but was later out at second off Murphy's fielder's choice. Roth then hit a single down the right field line to move Murphy from first base to third with two outs. However, CSU forced a ground out to hold on for the win.
