DETROIT (7/27/2026) -- University of Detroit Mercy senior Claire Borg had the honor of learning from some of the top leaders in Team IMPACT's organization as she was chosen to attend the group's Fellowship Summit last weekend. 

"Attending Team IMPACT's Summit and being in a room full of passionate, like-minded people was incredibly inspiring and motivating," said Borg. "Team IMPACT's mission is truly remarkable, and I'm excited to help spread awareness of the life-changing impact they have on children, families, and college athletes."

The Fellows were selected from a competitive application and interview process. Once selected, the Fellows were invited to participate in a new Fellow orientation and comprehensive three-day training in Boston, Massachusetts.

The group chosen represented Team IMPACT on their campuses and collaborated with the athletic department and greater campus community to raise awareness and increase program participation. In return, Team IMPACT provided opportunities for Fellows to build their skills in leadership, community engagement, public speaking, and professional/career development, preparing them to be leaders in the workforce and beyond.

Borg has been a captain for the softball team and a member of SAAC during her time at UDM, where she is the Community Service Chair. 

In the past, several Titan teams have worked with Team IMPACT to add children facing serious illness and disabilities to the program, creating a long-term, life-changing experience for everyone involved.
