DETROIT (1/12/23) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team returns to action for the first time in 2023 as they travel to Saginaw Valley State University for the 2023 SVSU Classic on Friday, Jan. 13 from the Hansen Indoor Track and the Michigan Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 14.
Last Time Out
The last time the Titans competed was back on Dec. 2 as the team took part in the Notre Dame Blue and Gold meet.
Micah Carey started her season out with a top-10 finish in the Long Jump at 5.57 meters.
Mone Knowles scored third in the 200-meter at 25.17 seconds.
SVSU Classic
The last time the Titans were indoors at Saginaw Valley State was back on Feb 19, 2021 at the SVSU Tune Up.
Allison Sherman won the 3000-Meter, while
Zoe Madden and
Micah Carey both finished second in the Long Jump and Triple Jump respectively.
Michigan Invitational
Detroit Mercy will make their second of three trips to Michigan in the past 11 months on Saturday.
The last time the Titans were in Ann Arbor it was for the Silverston Invitational, which they will return to Ann Arbor for next month.

Following the competitions at Saginaw Valley State and Michigan, the red, white and blue will head to the Mastodon Invitational hosted by Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday, Jan. 21 from the Lutheran Health Fieldhouse.
