DETROIT (12/13/2024) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse team will play six home games as the Titans announced their 2024 schedule on Wednesday.

The six home games will feature three MAC and three non-conference contests in Marquette from the BIG EAST, Kennesaw State from the Atlantic Sun and Arizona State out of the PAC-12. 

The season will start out East as the Titans visit New Hampshire on Feb. 17 for the first meeting between the two programs in school history. The following week, Detroit Mercy will head to Pennslyvania to face Duquesne on Feb. 24 and Pittsburgh on Feb. 26. It will be the ninth career meeting between the Titans and Dukes, while the Panthers are led by UDM Hall-Of-Famer Emily Boissonneault '13. 

A battle of Jesuit rivals will end the month of February as Marquette comes to the Motor City on the 28th, the ninth all-time meeting between the schools. 

Detroit Mercy will have three road games in the first 10 days of March, with a couple of Catholic schools on the docket in Canisius (Mar. 2) and Xavier (Mar. 5), followed by a trip to Lindenwood (Mar. 10). 

The fourth year of MAC competition will begin at defending league champions Central Michigan on March 17. 

After that, the Titans will play five of the next seven games at home, with Kennesaw State in town on March 18 and league-foe Youngstown State visiting on March 24, before UDM travels to defending conference regular-season co-champion Robert Morris on March 30. 

April will bring ASU (Apr. 2) and in-state rival Eastern Michigan (Apr. 7) to Titan Field. The Titans will head to the road to face Akron (Apr. 14) before the final regular season home game of the year against Kent State on April 21. 

The Titans will close out the regular season on April 27 before the MAC Championship takes place from May 2-4, hosted by the top-seeded team in the conference.

Detroit Mercy returns 23 letterwinners and 13 of its 15-point scorers from a year ago as well as its top goalie, top three caused turnover, top four ground ball and top five draw control leaders.
