Jaiden Lara went 2-for-3 with an RBI while senior 
Jordan Hazel recorded a triple and scored the lone run for a 1-0 lead but Detroit Mercy could not hang on as Western Illinois posted two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning for a 2-1 walk-off win on the final day of the DePaul Dome Tournament on Sunday.

Kara Wolfbauer posted her second double of the tournament while freshman 
Trinity Fessler went 1-for-2 with a walk.
Senior 
Olivia Warrington held the lead for Detroit Mercy (0-5) with a solid effort in the circle going 6.2 innings with a strikeout coming up short for the second time to record her first win of the season.
Recap:
• Hazel led off the fourth inning with a triple and was driven in by Lara's single to left field giving the Titans a 1-0 lead.
• Warrington worked out of a jam after WIU (4-1) had a leadoff double to hold the lead in the bottom of the fourth.
• UDM threatened in the top of the fifth inning with a walk and hit-by-pitch but left the runner stranded.
• The Leathernecks got runners on second and third but Warrington was able to hold them off in the bottom of the fifth
• The Titans one against had a golden opportunity to add to their 1-0 lead in the top of the seventh as Wolfbauer's double was followed by a single from Fessler. She then stole second base to get runners on second and third base but were left stranded. For the game, the Titans left six runners on base.
• The Leathernecks finally broke through with a single followed by an RBI triple and RBI single to win marking the second time the Titans lost in walk-off fashion at the Dome Tournament.
The Titans will be back in action against Harvard on Saturday, Mar. 4 to kick off the Red & Black Tournament (Mar. 4-5) in Boilings Springs, NC.
