Fencing Resumes Schedule With Post-Season Duals At Ohio State

Titans Head To Columbus For CCFC Championships
DETROIT (2/24/23) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's fencing team concludes its 20 day hiatus from competition with the 2023 Central Collegiate Fencing Championships in Columbus, Ohio beginning Saturday, Feb. 25 hosted by Ohio State University. 

The Titans will join Cleveland State, Denison, Lawrence, Northwestern, Wayne State, and the host Buckeyes at the championships. 

Familiar Faces
Detroit Mercy has crossed blades with every team in the CCFC except for Ohio State this season. Meetings include traveling to Cleveland State to start the year and ended the regular-season at Northwestern where they also saw Lawrence, Denison, and Wayne State. They also hosted Cleveland State at Calihan Hall in January. 

The Championships
The CCFC Championships will begin Saturday, Feb. 25 and run through the 26th at French Field House. 

The first round is slated to begin at 8:30 a.m. as Saturday will be the team championships and Sunday will serve as the individual championships. 

Admission to the the CCFC championship is free and parking can be found around the venue. 

NCAA Regionals
The NCAA Regional Championships are scheduled to be Saturday, March 11 in Evanston, Illinois hosted by Northwestern.
