GRANVILLE, Ohio (3-8-25) – Detroit Mercy men's fencing team student-athletes Nathan Mysiorek, Arturo Rangel and Phillip Hunter and women's fencing team student-athletes Sophia Baez and Lusciana Ruiz completed competition at the 2025 NCAA Midwest Fencing Championships held on Saturday at the Mitchell Center on the campus of Denison.
 
• Rangel (epee) led the men's team, recording four total wins to finish 16th.
• Baez (sabre) led the women's team, recording two total wins to finish 15th.
