Lusciana Ruiz have qualified and will participate in the 2025 NCAA Midwest Fencing Championships to be held on Saturday, Mar. 8th at the Mitchell Center on the campus of Denison beginning at 9 a.m.
Schedule:

9 am - women's Epee, Foil, and Sabre events begin
12:30 pm - Conclusion of Women's events
1 pm - men's epee, foil and sabre events begin.
4:30 pm- conclusion of men's events
Rangel Highlights:
• Recorded five wins, advancing in singles pool play to finish 11th at the CCFC (2/23).
• Posted 13 wins to lead the men's side.at the Schiller Duals (2/3).
• Led the way with 13 overall wins on the men's team at the DeCicco Duals (1/26).
• Put on a show going a perfect 15-0 in the epee competition at the Lawrence Winter Duals (1/18).
• Went a perfect 5-0 in pool play and 4-0 in the 32-man/women bracket to claim the first-place title at the Wayne State Danosi Open (1/11).
• Went a perfect 6-0 in pool play and 2-1 in the bracket round to finish in 18th place out of 105 competitors at the Northwestern Remenyik (10-23-24).
Mysiorek Highlights:
• Posted six wins to lead the men's side in the sabre team competition at the CCFC (2/23).
• Returned to action posting six wins at the Schiller Duals (2/3).
• Went 4-1 in pool play and 4-1 in the bracket to advance to the final four and finish fourth overall, at the Wayne State Danosi Open (1/11).
• Went 4-1 in pool play and 1-1 in the bracket round to finish in 18th place out of 52 competitors at the Northwestern Remenyik (10/24).
Hunter Highlights:
• Went 2-4 with two wins in the foil and two more in the epee team competition at the CCFC (2/23).
• Recorded 10 wins in the foil competition at the Lawrence Winter Duals (1/18).
• Was second on the men's team with 11 wins at the DeCicco Duals (1/26).
Baez Highlights:
• Secured nine wins in team sabre competition and seven more, advancing in singles pool play and finishing 13th to lead the women's fencing team at the CCFC (2/23).
• Led the women's team with 15 at the Schiller Duals (2/23).
• Went 3-0 to earn a weapon win over cross-town rival Wayne State in the sabre competition at the DeCicco Duals (1/26).
• Went 4-2 in pool play and 2-1 in the bracket, falling in the round of eight at the Wayne State Danosi Open (1/11).
• Had a solid collegiate debut, going 4-2 in pool play and 2-1 in the bracket, advancing to the round of 16 to finish 16th out of 45 competitors at the Northwestern Remenyik (10/23).
Ruiz Highlights:
• Went 2-4 in team competition at the CCFC (2/23).
• Recorded 12 wins at the Schiller Duals (2/3).
• Ranked second on the women's side with eight wins at the DeCicco Duals (1/26).
