DETROIT (11/29/2024) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse team had a great fall practice and will now look ahead to the regular season as the Titans announced their captains for the 2025 campaign. 

Seniors Maddy Camm, Sophie Davis, and junior Alyssa Jarvis will be honored to wear the "C".

"Their leadership, dedication, and passion set the tone for the entire team, and we're confident they'll guide us to something special this year," said head coach Alexa Matta. 

Camm has played in 45 games in her three years and was named All-MAC Second Team last year after leading the team with 14 assists, 35 caused turnovers and 44 ground balls, second with 55 draw controls, and third with 39 points and 25 goals, all career highs. She led the conference and was 22nd in the nation with 1.94 caused turnovers per game, fifth in the record book, while her 35 total takeaways rank fourth in school history.

Davis - who is also the President of UDM's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) - has played in 38 games with 28 starts as a standout defender. She tallied five caused turnovers and eight ground balls last season, helping the team advance to the MAC Championship for the first time in school history.

Jarvis has played in 32 games with 30 starts and has tallied 37 points on 30 goals and seven assists, 85 draw controls, 38 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers as a midfielder. She was Second Team All-MAC as she topped the team with 67 draw controls to go with 10 caused turnovers and 26 ground balls. Her 3.72 draw controls per game were fourth in the MAC and seventh in the school record book, while her 67 total draws stand sixth in Titan history.

All three Titans were also members of the MAC All-Academic Team and the Detroit Mercy Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
