ANN ARBOR, Mich. (2/16/2024) -- Sophomore
Zoe Morris leaped her way to number three in the Titan record book in the high jump as the University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team ended the regular season at Michigan's Silverston Invitational on Friday evening.
Morris posted a mark of 1.67-meters for second in the event, while sophomore
Jada Clark was fifth with 1.57m.
Graduate senior
Allison Sherman claimed third in the mile with a career-best time of 5:04.64, seventh in school history, while senior
Kayla Smith was top three for the seventh time this year, taking third in the weight with a throw of 16.54m.
Senior
Alexa Krauth tallied fifth place in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.16, while freshman
Kayla Wize recorded a sixth-place finish in the 60m in 8.04 and was seventh in the 200m in 24.47. Junior
Evie Wright also had a PR on the day, clocking 5:19.12 in the mile for 10th.
The Titans will have one final week of practice before the Horizon League Championship next weekend, Feb. 24-25, held at Youngstown State.
