NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. (5/29/2024) -- Cat Kopchia ended her collegiate career in style as the best offensive player in the Mid-American Conference and she will add one more accolade to her senior campaign as she was named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association annual Senior All-Star Game.
Kopchia will suit up for the North Team in the Division I game, just the second Titan to ever appear, following Hall-Of-Famer Emily Boissonneault in 2012.
She was named the MAC Offensive Player of the Year and helped the Titans reach the conference championship for the first time since 2016. Kopchia led the team with a career-best 70 points - second in the MAC - and career-high 62 goals - tops in the league and 24th in the nation. Her 3.44 goals per game were second in the league and 27th in DI and she also led the league and was 20th in the NCAA in free-position percentage at 65.0%, connecting on 13-of-20, including 11 straight to end the year.
The single-season goals are tied for fifth in school history, while the points are seventh. Overall, she fired in 123 goals for sixth in the record book and her 158 points stand seventh.
During the year, she netted a goal in all 18 games, with 17 at two or more, 15 with three or more, eight with four or more and three with at least five. In the conference tournament, she tallied five points on three goals and two assists in the win over top-seeded Central Michigan and then found the back of the net four times in the title match against Robert Morris.
