Jaiden Lara picked the perfect time to hit her first home run of the season and she connected on a solo shot in the bottom of the seventh inning giving Detroit Mercy a 3-2 walk-off win over Green Bay in game one of a doubleheader at Buysse Ballpark on Senior Day. Graduate Student
Olivia Warrington closed out her career in style picking up the win in the circle tossing a complete game allowing only two runs on six scattered hits with three strikeouts leading the Titans to their first #HLSB series win since 2019. Freshman
Alexis Hoff also went 2-for-3 connecting on her first career home run.
In the nightcap, the Titans rallied from an 8-2 deficit behind a grand slam home run by sophomore
Trinity Fessler to tie the game at 8-8 but came up short 10-9.
On the day, Fessler hit 3-for-8 with a home run, double, four RBI, and two runs scored while Hoff went 4-for-7 with a home run, double, two RBI, and three runs.

Amanda Schick hit 3-for-7 overall with two runs and an RBI. Lara also had a hit and RBI while junior

Claire Borg, Hoff, and Shick each accounted for one of four Titan doubles in the nightcap.

• Warrington kept the Phoenix at bay until the fourth inning when they hit a two-run shot to even things up at 2-2.
• The game stayed even until Lara launched the game-winning shot over the center field wall to seal the series.
Game 2 Recap:
• Just like in game one, the Titans took a 2-0 lead off a solo home run by Hoff followed by a sacrifice fly by sophomore
Elyssa Adams in the first and second innings respectively.
• Green Bay tied the game at 2-2 off an RBI single and double in the third inning.
• The Phoenix posted six runs in the fifth inning highlighted by a grand slam and two-run home run to take a commanding 8-2 lead.
• Kavanagh got a run back in the bottom half off an RBI double to score Fessler
• The Titans rallied for five runs in the sixth inning starting with an RBI single by Holt to score Borg. With the bases juiced, Fessler blasted a grand slam over the left field fence to tie the game at 8-8.
• In the top of the seventh, GB retook the lead at 10-8 as Holt dove for a ball in center field and appeared to make a beautiful catch but couldn't hold on to the ball which allowed both runs to score.
• In the bottom half, Hoff led off with a double followed by Borg who got hit by a pitch. Lara delivered an RBI double to score Hoff pulling the Titans within a run at 10-9. Redshirt freshman
Molly Upton then drew a walk to load the bases with one out. Holt put the ball in play reaching base on a fielder's choice but Green Bay got the force out at home plate. With the bases still loaded, Fessler also put the ball in play but the Phoenix got the force out at third to end the game.
