Titans Welcome Elon Transfer Grant Gondrezick II

Grant Gondrezick II is now a Titan
DETROIT (6/19/2024) -- University of Detroit Mercy head coach Mark Montgomery inked another Michigan product as he announced that Elon transfer Grant Gondrezick II has committed to the Titans.

Gondrezick II signed with Elon out of Benton Harbor High School, but did not see action in any games last year.

"Grant has great all-around skills as a guard and can help lead this team," said Montgomery. "He can handle the basketball and has great vision on the court, but he is also athletic, can shoot the ball and is a good defender."

  • Tallied 25.3 points, 4.4 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.5 steals as a senior, while scoring over 1,000 career points
  • Named First Team All-State for Detroit News, BCAM and All Eyes on Michigan Magazine while being named to the Mr. Basketball Top 10 Watchlist for 2023
  • Selected First Team All-Conference and earned MVP honors in the league
  • Led Benton Harbor to the district and regional championship as a junior
  • A member of the National Honor Society and the BHHS Class Top 5 Academic
  • Comes from a basketball family as his dad, the late Grant Gondrezick, played two seasons in the NBA for the Phoenix Suns, his mother, Lisa, won the 1988 NCAA Championship at Louisiana Tech, his older sister, Kalabrya, played college basketball at Michigan State, his middle sister, Kysre, was Miss Basketball in Michigan, played for Michigan and West Virginia and currently plays in the WNBA and his late uncle, Glen, also spent six seasons in the NBA

He is the ninth recruit in coach Montgomery's first signing class as he joins transfers Legend Geeter, Orlando Lovejoy and Jared Lary and freshmen Nate Johnson, Ryan KalambayMiles Mitchell, TJ Nadeau and Stephen Okoro.
