Arturo Rangel put on a show going a perfect 15-0 in the epee competition to lead the Detroit Mercy's men's team at the Lawrence Winter Duals Meet held at the Buchanan Kewitt Wellness Center on Saturday. On the women's side,
Julissa Labra-Avila let the way, picking up 12 wins in the epee competition.

• Senior
Hannah Benford had 11 total wins in the foil competition
• Newcomer Shana Dupin was the third women's fencer to record double-digit wins with 10 in foil competition
• The women's team posted a 3-0 win over Marquette/Whitewater in all three weapons
• The women also won 2-1 over Purdue with a 5-4 decision in the epee
• The women's team concluded the competition with a 6-1 win over Marquette/Whitewater in the epee
