Hill Records First Career Shutout as Titans and Phoenix Play to a Scoreless Draw

DETROIT (10-12-25) - Junior Eva Hill recorded her first career shutout, making a save while the backline starters of seniors Jen Mateyak and Ashley Bates, junior Leila Lanier, and freshman Mary Garcia, along with sophomore subs Teagan Ferrington and Natalie Dye held Green Bay to just one shot on frame as the Titans and Phoenix played to a scoreless draw on Sunday afternoon at Titan Field.

Freshman Brogan Hughes led Detroit Mercy (2-11-2, 0-5-2 HL) with two shots on goal, while sophomore Sam Sickinger added one. Senior Abbey Lodato and Sickenger each recorded three shots, accounting for six of UDM's nine total shots. 

The Titans also couldn't capitalize on six corner kick opportunities compared to four for Green Bay (3-7-4, 1-2-3 HL).

Detroit Mercy opens a two-game #HLWSOC road swing beginning at Northern Kentucky on Sunday, Oct. 19, at 1 pm.
