DETROIT (10/16/2025) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's golf team will have one more event before the winter break as the Titans make their way to the Queen City for the Xavier Invitational.
The two-day, 54-hole event will start with two rounds on Monday, Oct. 20, and end with the final 18 on Tuesday at the par 70, 7,109-yard Maketewah Country Club.
Hosted by Jesuit rival Xavier, the field will also include Air Force, Florida A&M, IU Indianapolis, Morehead State, NKU, Purdue Fort Wayne, St. John's, Southern Indiana, Tennessee Tech, and Youngstown State.
Last year, Detroit Mercy totaled an 894 (299-289-306) for 10th with juniors Gowtham Nalluri, Mason Sokolowski, and David Swab all finishing in the top 50.
In their last tournament action, UDM finished 10th at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational with a score of 888 (296-292-300), as freshman Peyton Lawley led the way, tying for 30th after carding a 219 (74-73-72).
So far in the fall, Swab leads the Titans with a 75.00 average, while Lawlry has a 75.67.
