Sophomore Sophie Hauser and the Titans will tee it off near Cedar Point next week.
DETROIT (10/2/2025) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team will once again travel to Ohio as the red, white and blue compete in Toledo's Rocket Classic.

The three-round tournament will start on Monday, Oct. 6, and finish with the final 18 on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the par-72, 5,979-yard Catawba Island Club in Port Clinton, Ohio.

Both days will tee off at 9:00 a.m.

Detroit Mercy will battle the host Rockets, Bethune-Cookman, Indiana State, Ohio, and Purdue Fort Wayne.

This is the seventh time the Titans will play in Toledo's fall event, with five of the five competitions held at the Catawba Island Club. Last year, UDM was ninth with a 962 (323-313-326) as Taylor Kondel led the way, placing 23rd with a then-career-best 232 (82-72-78).

Three Titans have tallied under an 80.0 average through two tournaments. Graduate senior Ariel Chang leads the team with a 75.3. Junior Gabriella Tapp is second at 77.8, and Kondel is at a 79.6. Kondel is also coming off her best career finish as she tied for ninth, shooting a 153 (78-75).
