Ava Wisinski were all in the top 15 and that is where they stayed as the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team saw the final round of Toledo's Rocket Classic canceled on Tuesday due to rain.
Kondel ended tied for 12th with a 157 (75-82) at the par-72, 5,979-yard Catawba Island Club in Port Clinton, Ohio. She opened the day with a 3-over 75 as she posted five birdies and seven pars, before knocking in three birdies and eight pars in the second round. Her eight total birdies led the entire field and she also tied for first with a -3, 4.63 average on the par 5's.
McKinley shared 13th after tallying a 159 (80-79), while Wisinski recorded a 160 (79-81) and tied for 15th. McKinley registered a birdie and 10 pars in round one and 12 more pars in round two, finishing wth a team-high 22 pars, tied for the seventh-most in the field. She also was third on the course's par 3's with an even 3.00 average.
Wisinski started with 13 pars in the morning and knocked in two birdies and eight pars in the second round as she was third in the tournament's par 5's with a -1, 4.88 mark.
As a team, UDM totaled a 641 for fifth.
The Titans will have one more event on the fall docket as they stay local for the Chippewa Invitational, held at the Birmingham Country Club in Birmingham, Michigan, Oct. 13-14.
