BIRMINGHAM, Mich. (10/14/2025) -- Sophomore Morgan Jones tallied a come-from-behind win, and senior Taylor Kondel also rallied to tie a match as the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team wrapped Central Michigan's Motor City Match-Up on Tuesday.

The Titans split their six-woman duel against Chicago State at the par-72, 5,897-yard Birmingham Country Club in Birmingham, Michigan.

Jones was down by two on the back nine and down by one with four holes left when she took control, claiming three holes and halving another for the Titans to avoid the loss to the Cougars.

Freshman Ava Wisinski won her bout for the second-straight day, 5 & 3, as she dominated the front nine, winning five of the six holes to register the victory.

Kondel and sophomore Emma McKinley both earned a half a point by squaring their matches.

Kondel battled and was tied through the back nine and took a lead on the first hole, but then trailed by two with three holes to go. She was able to win seven and eight and halved nine to get a half a point for the red, white, and blue.

McKinley was up early in her affair and by as many as three with eight to go before ending the match in a draw.

Junior Gabriella Tapp dropped a tough match 1 up, and freshman Sadie Kondel fought to the end in a 2 & 1 decision.

The event concluded the team's fall season.
