DETROIT (10/21/2025) -- The University of Detroit Mercy had a bevy of former athletes post some great times at the Detroit Free Press Marathon.

For the women,  Kayla Hughes '20, '21 ran 2:58:55 for seventh overall - second in the 25-29 age range. Allison Sherman '23, '24 was eighth overall - fourth in the 25-29 range - in 3:00:23, while another teammate Rebecca Arnold '21 placed 12th - sixth in the 25-29 - in 3:04:30. 

On the men's side, Oscar Hernandez '23, '24 crossed the line in 2:35:02, sixth in the 20-24 division. 

In the half-marathon, Mead Goedert '06 tallied a time of 1:21:25 for 24th, fifth in the 40-44 age range.
