McNitt Leads Titans At GVSU

ALLENDALE, Mich. (2/14/2025) – Junior sprinter McKenzie McNitt ran a career-best in the 400-meters on Friday night at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet. 

McNitt crossed the line in 56.57 seconds, which is the second fastest indoor 400-meter time in school history, and the fourth fastest 400-meter time in overall school history. 

Senior Nina Pizzo also earned a personal best for the red, white, and blue, running 5:11.68 in the mile run. Junior Claire Hunt ran a time of 5:22.37. 

In the 5,000-meters, senior Evie Wright ran 17:59.90. Freshman Meghan Koss clocked a time of 25.06 seconds in the 200-meter dash. 

Detroit Mercy will have one more meet before the #HLTF Indoor Championships. The Titans will compete at the Silverstein Invitational hosted by Michigan next Friday.
