Koss Sets Indoor 200-Meter Record At Michigan

Freshman Meghan Koss set the Titan indoor 200-meter record at Michigan.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (2/21/2025) -- Freshman Meghan Koss broke a Titan indoor record en route to a bronze as the University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team ended the regular season at Michigan on Friday.

Koss was third in the 200-meters in a season-best 24.78, a new indoor Titan record, and the second-best 200m time in school history.

Next up for the Titans will be the Horizon League Championships, set for March 1-2 at Purdue Fort Wayne.

Senior Nina Pizzo was eighth in the mile in a career-low 5:08.62, the 11th best run in school history, while senior Evie Wright was 11th in 5:14.33.

Freshman Abbey Ressler placed fifth in the pole vault with a season-best 3.25m, while freshman Julia Young was sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 10.31m.

Sophomore Helana Napiorkowski earned eighth in the 3,000m in 10:24.37 and senior Zoe Madden took seventh in the triple jump at 10.29m and eighth in the long jump at 5.16m.

Detroit Mercy will now prepare for the Horizon League Championships, set for next Saturday and Sunday, March 1-2, at Purdue Fort Wayne.
