Jada Davis hit her second triple of the weekend while junior
Trinity Fessler went 2-for-6 overall with an RBI and walk as Detroit Mercy fell in walk-off fashion with a 3-1 setback to St. Thomas followed by a 7-2 loss to Valparaiso to conclude play at the DePaul Rosemont Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
Freshman
Paige Keown came up on the short end of a pitcher's duel tossing 6.1 innings with two strikeouts against St. Thomas.
Senior
Jordan Kavanagh picked up the loss against Valparaiso with five strikeouts in 4.1 innings of work.

Allison Fluker posted a hit in each game, while redshirt Sophomore
Lauren Creon, and freshmen
Abby Klaft and
Leah Daniels each recorded a hit.
St. Thomas Recap:
• Freshman
Paige Keown grounded out to the shortstop to score Fluker giving UDM a 1-0 lead in the third inning.
• St. Thomas tied the game in the fourth inning at 1-1 off an RBI single.
• The game remained tied until the Tommies hit a walk-off two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh for a 3-1 win.
Valpo Recap:
• After Valpo took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, Klaft reached on a fielding error, scoring Davis and tying the game at 1-1.
• The Beacons added four runs, two unearned off a UDM fielding error, to take a 5-1 lead.
• Fessler delivered an RBI single to score freshman
Wendy Ketola in the bottom half for a 5-2 deficit.
• Valpo went on to add another run in the fifth and seventh innings to seal the win.
Detroit Mercy travels to Lubbock, Tex. to open action at the Texas Tech Tournament on Friday, Feb. 21, against UIC at 10:30 a.m. ET, followed by Texas Tech at 3:30 p.m. ET.
