MILWAUKEE (3/16/2025) -- Eight different Titans found the back of the net, but it was not enough as the University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse team could not contain Marquette on Sunday, falling 24-10.

Libby Cuckler each led the way with two goals and an assist, with Cuckler adding a caused turnover and ground ball and Camm two draw controls and two ground balls as she reached the 100 GB mark in her career.

Leah Bodnar had a goal, an assist, two caused turnovers and three ground balls, and freshman
Sophia Schwab had a goal, two assists, and a GB.

Katie Bilello ended with two takeaways and a game-high five ground balls.Â
Detroit Mercy (3-5) opened the game with a goal as freshman
Jaeda Jensen found Cuckler at the 12:42 mark. UDM tied the game at 2-2 with 4:34 on the clock in the first as Camm fed junior
Alyssa Jarvis and she beat the keeper and the game was knotted at 3-3 as Schwab beat her defender and fired one in with 2:06 left.
Marquette (5-3) responded with three in a row when, off a save by Leavell, the Titans pushed the action and Schwab set up Cuckler, who took some contact from the defense and got one in the net with 12:03 left in the second. Camm scored her first off the free position with 5:11 remaining and Jensen added a goal off a great feed from Cuckler with less than a minute to go as the Golden Eagles took a 14-6 lead into the break.
The Titans opened the third period with a goal off the crosse of freshman
Tunie Mullen and Bodnar ripped one to the back of the net midway through the third to make it a 15-8 contest, while sophomore
Erin Balbontin netted a goal off the free position later in the period.
UDM ended its offense with a goal from Camm off a pass from Schwab with 1:29 left in the contest.

Madison Klamo all ended with a caused turnover and ground ball, while Jarvis pulled down a team-high three draws and now has 107 in her career.Â
The Titans won the battle of ground balls, 16-15, and were 15-of-18 on clears and 2-for-2 on their free position shots.Â
Detroit Mercy will now get ready for MAC play the rest of the way, starting with a trip to Kent State next Sunday.Â
