Sophia Miller (Sabre) placed third and also competed in the epee competition, while
Shana Dupin (Foil) finished fourth to lead the Detroit Mercy women's fencing team at the Danosi Open hosted by cross-town rival Wayne State at the Matthaei Building on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore
Phillip Hunter pulled double duty, going 4-4 in the foil competition and 2-4 in the epee division.
Diego Grijalva-Barrera added two wins in the epee division, while junior
Sydney Upton (foil) went 3-4.
