ADRIAN, Mich. (4/25/2025) – The University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team won four events at Siena Heights Don Kleinow Memorial Invitational on Friday evening. 

Junior McKenzie McNitt recorded career bests in both the 100 and 200-meter dashes, winning the 200m in 25.11 and finishing fourth in the 100m prelim with a time of 12.28 seconds. In the 100m final, McNitt came back to finish third in 12.38 seconds. 

Sophomore Kayla Wize led the way in the 400m with a personal best time of 57.26 seconds. Senior Evie Wright also registered a personal best in the 1500m run, crossing the line in first place with a time of 4:51.80. 

The 4x400 relay team of Wize, Jada Clark, Audrey Williams, and Olivia Velazquez closed the meet with a first place finish for the Titans, running 4:05.43. 

Graduate student Zoe Madden led UDM in the field events with a runner-up finish in the triple  jump and third place mark in the long jump. She posted a mark of 10.55 meters in the triple jump and 5.48 meters in the long jump. 

Sophomore Grace Steffes also had a third-place effort in the discus with a toss of 36.64 and placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 11.52.

Detroit Mercy will have one more meet before turning their attention to the #HLTF Outdoor Championship. The Titans will travel to Ohio State for the Jesse Owens Classic next weekend beginning on Friday.
