Leavell Earns Fifth MAC Goalkeeper Award

Senior Meredith Leavell took home her fifth MAC accolade.

CLEVELAND (4/29/2025) -- For the fifth time this season, University of Detroit Mercy senior Meredith Leavell was touted for her play in between the pipes as the Mid-American Conference named her the Goalie of the Week.

Leavell tallied 14 saves in net and allowed just seven goals in a 9-7 postseason-clinching win over Central Michigan. The seven goals tied for her fewest allowed on the year and the 10th time this season she has posted double-digit stops.

She currently has 159 saves on the season, third in the MAC and 17th in the nation, while her 11.36 saves per game are second in the league and third in the country.

Leavell and the Titans will open the postseason on Thursday as the red, white and blue play in the MAC Championship semifinals against top-seeded Robert Morris.
