COLUMBUS (5/3/2025) -- Due to weather, the University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team only competed in a few events to conclude Ohio State's Jesse Owens Classic on Saturday.

Senior McKenzie McNitt captured the 200-meter for the second straight week, running 25.09, while freshman Haley Lipscomb claimed eighth in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 15.18.

Sophomore Alaina Burns was 17th in the steeplechase in 12:35.80 and freshman Lyla Mullins threw a season-best 12.38 meters in the shot put for 13th.

The Titans will now prepare for the Horizon League Championships, which starts on Friday at Youngstown State.
