NORMAN, Okla. (8/5/2025) -- The University of Detroit Mercy was once again honored for its academic prowess as a recipient of the PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award for the 2024-25 campaign from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
For the year, the student-athletes tallied a 3.30 team GPA.
A GCAA-record 292 schools across six divisions earned a PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award for posting a GPA above 3.0, as the Titans were one of four schools from the Horizon League to earn the accolade.
It is the 14th time in school history that the red, white and blue have received the distinction, which started in 2009, with two selections as the President's Special Recognition for having an average team GPA of 3.5 or above in 2009 and 2010.
Just last week, three Titans were named GCAA Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars in sophomores Gowtham Nalluri, Mason Sokolowski, and David Swab.
UDM is just a month away from starting the new collegiate season.
