DETROIT (6/19/2025) -- The University of Detroit Mercy golf programs have already seen some upgrades the past season, and now the Titans are looking to add a few more items for the men's and women's teams.
Over the last year, the program has purchased and installed:
- State-of-the-art TrackMan simulator and projector (donated on behalf of the Friends of Tom Empric, organized by Dan Schneble)
- High-end desktop computer (to power the Trackman)
- New door and digital lock leading down to the hitting bays
- Titan golf logos on the doors to the office and hitting bays
- Secure closet inside the new outer door
- A second hitting bay
- Horizon League championship banners
Recently, through fundraising efforts provided by an anonymous donor, the program has renovated an adjacent room with new wood floors, electrical outlets, and updated ceiling and lighting. Another hitting bay and simulator, as well as a lounge for our student-athletes, is being planned, which includes:
- Installing a large high-definition television (generously donated by the Oblak family)
- Purchasing furnitureÂ
- Purchasing and installing 20 new lockers (one for each player)
To help us continue improving, you can now purchase a locker for $400 with your name prominently displayed. The lockers are 18 inches wide, 18 inches deep and five (5) feet high--so they will allow each of our players to store their clubs and shoes--with plenty of room for other things like workout gear.
If you would like to help, there are 18 lockers still available. Two (2) have already been donated (at $500, instead of the $400). Consider putting your name or someone who has impacted the University or Titan Athletics on a locker.Â
