DETROIT (9/18/2025) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team will be back in action this weekend as the Titans make the trip across the border and into Ohio for Youngstown State's Roseann Schwartz Invitational.
The two-day, 36-hole event will have the opening round on Sunday, Sept. 21, and conclude on Monday at the par-72 5,992-yard Mill Creek Golf Course (North Course) in Boardman, Ohio.
Both days will tee off at 9:00 a.m, and fans can follow the action on
GolfStat.Â
The field will include the host Penguins, Maryland Eastern Shore, Mercyhurst, Niagara, Purdue Fort Wayne, and Saint Francis (PA), with individuals from Kent State.Â
This will mark the fifth-straight year that the Titans will compete in the event. Last season, UDM posted a 648 (325-323) for 13th as
Taylor Kondel led the way, tying for 30th with a 155 (79-76). In 2023,
Ariel Chang was the medalist with a  career-tying 144 (73-71), taking the top spot in a tiebreaker, while in 2022, she was runner-up with another 144 (70-74).
In the season opener at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational, Chang tallied her 18th career top-20 effort by sharing 20th with a 226 (74-72-80), just one shot off her career high despite not playing last season as she chose to redshirt. Junior
Gabriella Tapp carded a career-low 230 (78-74-78) for 36th, and freshman
Sadie Kondel made her collegiate debut and tied for 64th with a 242 (78-82-82).
