Claire Hunt came away with the top finish on the day as the University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team started a busy weekend on Friday.
The Titans were competing at Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational and Saginaw Valley's Jet's Pizza Invitational.
Hunt was third in the 5,000 meters at SVSU with a time of 17:53.52, 12th in school history. Junior Helena
Helana Napiorkowski was 10th in the race at 18:37.98.
Sophomore
Lyla Mullins registered a throw of 13.01 meters in the shot put for 16th.
At Notre Dame, freshman
Imani Sharp moved into the finals in the 60 meters, placing third in the qualifying in 7.70. She was also ninth in the 200m in 25.23, the 14th fastest time in school history.
Sophomore
Meghan Koss ran 7.98 in the 60 and 25.99 in the 200m, finishing 31st in both events.
Both events will wrap up tomorrow.
