HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (3-8-26) - Freshman
Jenna Higgins had a breakout game, going 3-for-5 with a double, a run scored, and five RBI in game one, while junior
Jada Davis hit 4-for-10 overall with three RBI and a run to lead Detroit Mercy to a a 12-5 and 8-5 win at Alabama A&M, earning their first double header sweep of the season on Wednesday afternoon at the Bulldog Softball Field.
Freshman
Hannah Schlachter also had a big day, going 3-for-7 with a pair of home runs and two RBI. Sophomore
Abby Klaft also went 3-for-7 with a home run, RBI single, and three runs scored, while sophomore
Aleah Tanguay added a two-run homer and a pair of runs scored in game two. Sophomore
Natalie Babcock also hit 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI, a pair of runs scored, and a walk, while sophomore
Allison Fluker added a two-run single in game one. Freshman
Addison Pokley went 2-for-3 with an RBI double, a run, and a walk in the nightcap.

Savannah Schultz had two hits on the day with two RBI and also picked up the win in the circle in game one, going 6.2 innings with a career-best nine strikeouts. Sophomore
Erin Flynn won her second game of the season in game two, going 6.1 innings with five strikeouts.
Game 1 Recap:
• Klaft got UDM on the board with an RBI single to score senior
Trinity Fessler in the first inning. Fulker then delivered a two-run single, scoring Schlachter and Klaft, giving the Titans a 3-0 lead.
• After the Bulldogs tied the game in the bottom half, Klaft hit a solo home run, giving the Titans a 4-3 lead in the top of the third.
• Higgins hit a two-run single, scoring sophomore
Wendy Ketola, and Babcock followed by a bunt single from Davis to score Higgins for a 7-3 Titan lead in the fourth. Alabama A&M got two runs back in the bottom half.
• The Titans added two more runs to lead 9-5 off a Babcock hit a RBI double, scoring Schultz, while Higgings followed with a RBI single in the fifth inning
• Schlachter then belted a two-run shot in the sixth inning, followed by an RBI double from Higgins to secure the 12-5 win.
Game 2 Recap:
• Alabama A&M jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning.
• The Titans tied it up in the second inning off a RBI double from Pokley to score Schultz, followed by a two-run single from Davis.
• Freshman
Aubrey Myer posted an RBI single to score Klaft in the third.
• Schultz added a sac fly in the fourth to plate Davis, increasing UDM's lead to 5-3 in the fourth.
• Tanguay's two-run shot in the fifth, followed by Schlachter's solo homer in the sixth inning, sealed the Titans' 8-3 win.
The Titans will play another doubleheader at Alabama A&M on Wednesday, March 11, at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. ET.
