HOWIE-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. (4/25/2026) -- Graduate senior Ariel Chang is just three off the lead, and three Titans are in the top 20 after the opening round of the Horizon League Championships on Saturday. 

As a team, UDM shot a 318 and is in fifth place at the par 73, 6038-yard El Campeon course at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-In-The-Hills, Florida. 

Chang is tied for second with a 2-over 75 as she tallied three birdies and 10 pars, with all three of her birdies on the front nine.

Junior Gabriella Tapp is tied for 12th with a 79, while sophomore Morgan Jones posted an 81 and shares 18th place. Tapp had seven pars on the back nine and then knocked in two birdies and three pars on the front. Jones registered a birdie and nine pars on the day.

Senior Taylor Kondel carded an 83 and stands 27th overall, and sophomore Emma McKinley had an 89 and is in 35th.

Round two of the event will tee off for the women at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow.
