Abby Klaft led Detroit Mercy, hitting a combined 4-for-7 with two RBI, a double, and a run scored, while freshman
Jenna Higgins also went 4-for-7 with a walk, as the Titans dropped a regular-season-ending doubleheader to Robert Morris, 9-1, 18-3, on Senior Day Saturday at Buysse Ballpark. UDM enters the 2026 #HLSB Championship as the No. 6 seed and will face No. 3 RMU in a rematch on Wed., May 6, at 2:30 p.m.

Allison Fluker each added a hit to round out 11 total for the Titans in the nightcap. Freshman
Jaycee Reams recorded her first career RBI and tossed 3.1 innings with a strikeout in relief in the circle.
Game 1 Recap:
• RMU to a 1-0 lead in the second inning with an RBI single
• The Colonials got a pair of 3-run homers in the third and fifth innings to lead 7-0.
• RMU added a two-run single in the top of the seventh for a 9-0 advantage.
• UDM broke up the shutout as Fessler scored off a fielding error in the bottom half.
Game 2 Recap:
• Detroit Mercy got off to a great start as Klaft gave the Titans a 2-0 lead off a two-run single in the first inning.
• Schultz was able to keep RMU off the board over the first three innings.
• However, the Colonials' offense got going in the fourth inning, hanging a crooked number six runs highlighted by an RBI single and double.
• RMU then added two unearned runs off an error in the fifth.
• Reams' RBI groundout cut the deficit to 8-3 in the bottom half.
• The Colonials closed the game out via the long ball with a two-run homer in the sixth, followed by a three-run shot and another 2-run big fly in the seventh.
