2012: Played in all 15 games in his final season as a Titan…One of the four UDM captains…A defensive midfielder, he ended the year with 12 ground balls, six caused turnovers and two points…Both of his points came in the regular season finale registering a goal and an assist at VMI…Had a season-high three GB’s and a pair of caused turnovers at Georgetown…Attempted two shots and picked up two ground balls at No. 19 Delaware…Also had two ground balls and a caused TO against Marist…Earned a spot on the MAAC All-Academic Team…A four-year member of the UDM AD’s Honor Roll and earned a spot on the MAAC's Academic Honor Roll.

2011: Appeared in all 16 games as a defensive midfielder and team captain…Did not attempt a shot on the year, but came up with two points on two assists…His helpers came in back-to-back games against Lehigh and at Mount St. Mary’s…Sixth on the squad with a career-high 23 ground balls…Caused eight turnovers on the season and was 2-of-8 in face-offs…Had a career-best three caused turnovers in the win over VMI…Picked up a season-best three GB’s against the Mountain Hawks and versus Robert Morris…Tied for fourth on the Titans with seven penalties…Named to both the MAAC Academic All-League and the 2010-11 Honor Roll as well as a representative of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

2010: Played in every game starting the first two contests of the season against Bellarmine and Ohio State…Scored four points on three goals and an assist…Four of his five shots on the year were on goal…An all-around player, he picked up 20 ground balls, caused six turnovers and won four face-offs…Put in his first career goal at Lehigh…Found the back of the net versus Mount St. Mary’s and added an assist at Manhattan…Notched one of Detroit’s four man-down goals on the year beating the Presbyterian advantage late in the game for his only score of the day… A member of SAAC, the UDM AD’s and the MAAC's Academic Honor Roll as well as the MAAC All-Academic Team.

2009: Played in all 11 games starting in UDM’s first-ever game at Ohio State…Fourth on the team with 20 groundballs…Posted three points on two goals and an assist…Took seven shots on the season with six coming on goal (.857)…Scored his first goal and assist at Bellarmine…Also had a marker at Robert Morris…Scooped up a season-high five GB’s at Bryant…Had four groundballs against Manhattan… A member of the AD Honor Roll.

Prior to Detroit: Played four years of varsity lacrosse in high school, earning All-Area, All-Region and honorable mention All-State accolades as a junior…Scored 60 goals in his career, including averaging two goals and an assist during his senior campaign…Played with Total Select Lacrosse Club, one of the top summer teams in the midwest, where he was a captain as well as one of the top offensive threats…A member of the National Honor Society, Brothers Club and the Student Council Leadership Committees.

Personal: Son of Maribeth and Matthew Janer…Has a younger brother and sister…Lists his biggest thrill in sports as the opportunity to play in the Michigan Lacrosse State Championship two years in a row, along with scoring a goal his sophomore year in the finals…An Engineering major.
