2017: Played in 14 games at the faceoff X… Was fifth in the MAAC winning 48.9 percent (87-of-178) taking a career-best 87 faceoffs… Also third on the team picking up a career-high 37 ground balls… Won at least 50.0 percent of his faceoffs in four of the six MAAC regular season games… Tied his career high with 15 faceoff wins in 23 attempts and picked up a career-best 10 ground balls at RV/#17 Ohio State in the season opener… The 10 GB’s are tied for the second-most in school history and are the most by a Titan since 2012, while his 15 faceoff wins was one behind the school record of 16… Was 8-of-21 with five GB’s against Jacksonville… Tallied 10-of-18 with six ground balls and scored his first collegiate goal against Manhattan… Was 12-of-19 with five ground balls versus Monmouth… A member of the Detroit Mercy Athletic Director’s Honor Roll… Ended his career second all-time in faceoff winning percentage at 49.9 percent (168-of-337).

2016: Saw action in 11 games as the Titans’ main faceoff specialist… Led the league and was 24th in the nation in faceoff winning percentage with a career-high and school record 56.6 percent (74-of-133), which included an astounding 68-of-108 (62.9%) mark in MAAC play… Also ended the year fourth on the squad with a career-best 23 ground balls… He was just 6-of-23 through the first four games, but ended the year 68-of-110 in the final seven contests… Turned his season around winning 12-of-16 with four ground balls at Manhattan… Posted a season and career-best 15-of-22 performance with four ground balls versus Quinnipiac, just one win shy of tying the school record… Was 14-of-21 with four GB’s at Monmouth… Finished the season 12-of-18 with a career-high seven ground balls against Marist… Earned a spot on the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the MAAC Academic Honor Roll as well as the MAAC All-Academic Team… He ended his junior year as Detroit’s all-time leader in career faceoff winning percentage winning 81-of-159 (.509), while his 81 career wins are fifth in school history.

2015: Saw action in three games as he dealt with an injury… Was 2-of-14 in faceoffs with two ground balls… Both of his faceoff victories and ground balls came in the season-opening triumph over Ohio State… Earned a spot on the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the MAAC Academic Honor Roll. 

2014: Appeared in four games as a faceoff specialist… Was 5-of-12 on the season with two ground balls… Made his collegiate debut in the season opener going 1-of-3 with a ground ball in the win over Mercer… Won 4-of-7 with a ground ball in Detroit’s road victory at VMI. 

Prior To Detroit: Earned varsity letters in soccer and lacrosse… A team captain as a senior, he was regarded as one of the top faceoff specialists in Michigan holding his school's record for attempts and wins and ending his prep career with All-County and Honorable Mention All-State accolades… Won 86% of his faceoffs as a senior, while notching 24 goals… He won nearly 75% of his faceoffs as a junior, helping the Vikings to their first-ever winning season, and that came after a sophomore campaign that saw him post a winning mark of 64%... He played club for 1763 and also made the blue chip all-star game in Rhode Island in the summer of 2012.

Personal: Son of Rudy and Indira Gjokaj… Has a younger brother… List his biggest thrill in sports as taking faceoffs and providing his team with fast breaks and playing defense... Chose Detroit because it’s close to home and the friendly staff and coaches… A Criminal Justice major.
