2017: Saw action in all 16 games… Tallied 15 ground balls and eight caused turnovers… Made his collegiate debut at Ohio State in the season opener… Picked up three ground balls and had a caused turnover against Michigan… Had a caused turnover and two ground balls against Manhattan… Posted three GB’s and a caused turnover at Quinnipiac… Registered two caused turnovers and a ground ball at Canisius… A member of the Detroit Mercy Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

2016: Did not see action in any games earning a redshirt.

Prior To Detroit: Earned four varsity letters in lacrosse and a pair in cross country… A two-year captain, he was tabbed First Team All-State as a senior and Second Team as a junior… Named All-Colorado by the Denver Post as a senior… Selected First Team All-Conference as a junior and senior… Also Honorable Mention All-Conference in cross country in 2013… Posted 139 ground balls, seven assists and a goal as a prep… Played club with Team Colorado and the Colorado Wild and helped the Wild win the 2013 Colorado Cup and the Notre Dame Team Camp championship as well as take runner-up at the Denver Shootout, Vail Shootout and Sonoma Adrenaline Shootout… With Team Colorado, he guided the team to a U19 Vail Shootout runner-up effort.
                                                                                                                       
Personal: Son of Kerri Burnside and Kiki Leyba…  Has three siblings… Lists his biggest thrill in sports as making a run to the final four of the state championship… Chose Detroit because of the atmosphere of the school and the team, and UDM offers a great combination of athletic and academic opportunity… Undecided on major.
