2017: Named to the All-MAAC Rookie Team… Played in all 16 games with 12 starts and was sixth on the team with 12 goals, tied for sixth totaling 19 points and tied for third recording seven assists… 21 of his 27 shots were on goal for a .778 shots on goal percentage… Was fifth on the team and led all attackman with 28 ground balls… Made his collegiate debut starting at Ohio State… Scored his first goal the next week against Michigan… Had a season-best three points on two goals and an assist at Robert Morris… Handed out a season-high two assists and picked up three ground balls against Bellarmine… Had a goal and an assist at Marquette… Found the back of the net twice at Air Force… Netted two goals and also had two ground balls and a caused turnover against Manhattan, leading him to earn the MAAC Rookie of the Week… Scored a goal and tallied a season-high five ground balls at Siena… Recorded a goal and ground ball against Monmouth and at Marist… Ended the season with a marker and two ground balls against Monmouth in the MAAC Championship semifinals… A member of the Detroit Mercy Athletic Director’s Honor Roll…  

Prior To Detroit Mercy: Earned varsity letters in hockey and lacrosse… A team captain as a senior… A two-time team Offensive Player of the Year… A two-time All-State, All-Conference and All-Section honoree… Set school records as a junior with 35 goals, 24 assists and 59 points… Tallied 34 goals as a sophomore…  Played club with True Minnesota for four years and Brine All-American for one, and helped True win the Inside Lacrosse Invitational Session 1 with current teammates Grayson Gardner, Mitch Grengs and Seth Mendell… Captain of the True MN 2016 All-Stars and a True National Team Member in 2014, 2015 and 2016… Took part in the Inside Lacrosse Recruiting Invitational in 2015 and was tabbed among the "Top 5 Most Impressive Players to Watch"… Also a 3d Blue Chip - Midwest Region.

Personal: Son of Heather and James Dempsey… Has a younger brother … Comes from an athletic family that saw his mother compete in competitive cheer at Marquette, his grandfather earning letters in football at Illinois Wesleyan, one uncle playing baseball at Illinois Wesleyan, while another uncle suited up on the soccer field at Loras College.… Chose Detroit Mercy because of the five-year MBA program… A Business major…
