Broke his own record for second time, this time to qualify for U.S. Olympic Trials, with toss of 68.45m (224'7") for 7th place at Ashland Summer Series... The throw ranks him 22nd in the U.S. Qualifying list and No. 133 worldwide for 2016... Advanced to NCAA East Preliminary Round and placed 13th with hammer throw of 65.16m (213'9")... Added win in the hammer throw at the Detroit vs. Oakland Duals (60.22m) and defended his Penn Relays crown with a toss of 66.25m for 2nd place... Named Team Co-MVP for Outdoor Season... Earned Spring All-Academic HL honors... Advanced to the U.S. Olympic Trials.
2016 Indoor: Placed 3rd at HL Indoor Championships with toss of 19.26m in weight throw... Weight throw best of 19.79m (64'11") for 2nd at YSU National Invite... 2015 Outdoor: Placed 2nd at HL Outdoor Championships with throw of 62.54m in hammer throw... Set Detroit record with hammer throw of 65.84m (216'0") to win Penn Relays... Added hammer throw wins at Gibson Invitational (63.40m), Northwood Open (63.15m), Detroit vs. Oakland Dual (62.28m) and NCC Gregory Final Qualifier (65.16m)... Named HL Outdoor Athlete of the Year... Advanced to NCAA East Preliminary Round and placed 16th with throw of 63.43m.
2015 Indoor: Shot put best of 10.91 meters for 9th at IPFW Duals... Weight throw best of 18.88 meters for 6th at GVSU Big Meet Invite... Won weight throw at SVSU Jets Pizza Invitational and IPFW Duals with throws of 18.49m and 18.71m, respectively.
2014 Outdoor: Won team Most Improved award for the second year…threw PR versus Oakland of 188’ 2” for 2
nd and was 2
nd in Discus throwing 127’ 7”…threw 185’2” at Radford taking 5
th…Horizon League runner-up with PR of 196’ 6”, a throw that would qualify him for NCAA Preliminary Round… finished season #98 in NCAA Division 1 and #48 in east region … finished 33
rd in NCAA Hammer Semi-Final with a 192’ 8” on his third throw after a two fouls.
2014 Indoor: Opened season with 49’ 2.5” Weight PR at EMU…improved to 49’6” at the Simmons-Harvey Invitational the next week and then was runner-up at IPFW with 53’ 5.5”… fouled out the next three competitions before a 7
th place Horizon League finish throwing 54’ 10.25” (#4 Titan)
2013 Outdoor: Won team Most Improved award…Titan Hammer debut of 170’6” for 5
th at Toledo, the #5 Titan…Improved to 170’10” for collegiate win versus Oakland…Horizon League Hammer runner-up at 169’ 3”, held the lead until the final round.
2013 Indoor: Threw the Weight twice with a best of 43’ 6” at Windsor.
2012: Redshirt season... Competed unattached making his hammer debut throwing 141’10” at the Lyle Bennett Open (4/28).
