Mateusz Szwed is in his second season with the UDM soccer program and will look to compete for starting time at defense.

2007: Played in 18 games and was in the starting line-up 12 times... An instrumental part of the defense that helped the Titans collect eight shutouts on the year... Dished out first collegiate assist in UDM’s 2-2 tie at IPFW (Sept. 12)... One of two Titans to help on game-winning goal against Central Arkansas (Sept. 16), which helped UDM capture Falcon Classic title.

High School: 2007 graduate of Southgate Anderson High School… Four year varsity letterwinner in soccer… Earned two varsity letters in track and one in football… Member of the National Honor Society and the Youth and Resources Group… Played for the Vardar Stars for a year and Fusion 88 four years.

Personal: Son of Anna and Krzysztof Szwed… Born on Jan. 12, 1988… Has an older sibling, Katarzyna… Majoring in psychology.
