2011: A freshman who played in all 16 games with six starts…Finished the year collecting 19 ground balls and seven caused turnovers…Had a ground ball and a caused turnover in his first collegiate game at nationally-ranked Delaware…Scooped up a season-high found ground balls twice, against Lehigh and in the win at Siena…Also caused a season-best two turnovers against the Mountain Hawks…Earned a spot on the UDM Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

Prior To Detroit: A two-time team captain at Pioneer, Zwolan was named the Washtenaw County Player of the Year in 2010…He also earned All-State honors three times as well as first team All-Area as a sophomore, junior and senior…A strong athlete, he led the Pioneers to their first-ever regional final in 2008 and the team went on to capture the regional championship in 2009…He also earned the MHSLCA Unsung Hero Award as a junior…Played club for Scorpion Lacrosse for two years...Also a Co-founder and Co-President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Club.

Personal: Son of Terry and Tom Zwolan…His dad played baseball at Purdue, while his grandfather played baseball at Detroit in the late 1940’s…Has two younger sisters…Chose Detroit because of its great academic reputation and a chance to play lacrosse at the highest level and represent the state of Michigan nationwide …Undecided on major.
