2014: Selected to the Inside Lacrosse Coaches' Preseason All-Conference Team as a close stick defensive midfielder for the second-straight year… Ended his career as one of the best short stick defensemen in UDM history and in his time in the MAAC… Played in 13 of Detroit’s 14 games on the season and totaled 13 ground balls, a pair of caused turnovers and an assist… Had a caused turnover and a ground ball against Michigan… Came back the next game with another caused turnover and two GB’s at Robert Morris… Picked up a season-high three ground balls in closes setbacks to Bellarmine and Quinnipiac… Also added his first career assist and second career point against the Bobcats … Finished his career by appearing in 50 career games with 48 ground balls, 18 caused turnovers and two points. 

2013: Selected to the Inside Lacrosse Coaches' Preseason All-Conference Team as a close stick defensive midfielder… Played in seven games before suffering a season-ending knee injury… Had four caused turnovers and nine ground balls…Scored his first collegiate goal on his only shot of the season against VMI… Posted a pair of ground balls at Navy and at Robert Morris, while also causing four turnovers against the Colonials… He picked up a season-high four ground balls against Quinnipiac with two caused turnovers… A member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

2012: Appeared in all 15 games on the season… Picked up 10 ground balls and had six caused turnovers…Attempted three shots on the season with one on goal…Also took 18 faceoffs with two wins…Tied for second on the team with eight penalties…Had a season-high two ground balls in the regular-season finale at VMI…Won his first career faceoff in the season opener at No. 19 Delaware…Also won a faceoff, corralled a GB and caused a turnover at No. 6 North Carolina…A member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll…

2011: Played in 15 of the Titans’ 16 games, missing the season opener at Delaware…Had 16 ground balls and six caused turnovers on the year…Had his best game with six ground balls and three caused turnovers in UDM’s 10-9 overtime victory against Canisius…Had three GB’s and a caused TO at No. 4 Maryland…Also had the same stat line in a home win over VMI…Took his only shot of the year against Robert Morris…Third on the team in total penalties (9) and penalty minutes (7)…A member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

Prior To Detroit: Lettered in lacrosse and football at Notre Dame...A second team All-State and All-Catholic League performer...Helped lead a defense that allowed under seven goals per game and back-to-back CHSL sectional and B-Division Championships...On the gridiron, he holds the Fighting Irish school record for most touchdowns in a game (4) as well as the most touchdowns in a season (19).

Personal: Son of Dr. Maria Badalamenti and Jim Garippa…His mom graduated from the UDM Dental School…His hobbies include playing sports, watching movies and reading…Lists his biggest thrill in sports as every time he steps out on the field…A Business Administration major.
