2017: Saw action in 11 games… Was 17-of-45 in faceoffs with seven groundballs… Ended 3-of-8 with two ground balls against Michigan… Finished 4-of-7 with a ground ball at Marquette… Tallied 5-of-9 faceoffs with two GB’s against Manhattan… Was 3-of-6 in the MAAC Championship semifinals against Monmouth… Earned a spot on the Detroit Mercy Athletic Director’s Honor Roll… A member of the MAAC All-Academic Team… Also earned one of the highest honors as a Titan in the Academic Excellence Award recording at least a 3.0 GPA for every semester he has participated in college athletics… Ended his career 68-of-178 (.382), 32 ground balls and two goals.

2016: Earned the All-American Athlete Award from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)… Played in 10 games on the season as a faceoff specialist… Was 7-of-26 with nine ground balls… Also had a caused turnover and attempted one shot… Won a faceoff and had a caused turnover in the season opener at #11/12 Ohio State… Was 4-of-7 and tied his career high with three ground balls against Bellarmine, where he also took a shot… Corralled two ground balls against Quinnipiac… A member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the MAAC Academic Honor Roll as well as the MAAC All-Academic Team.

2015: Saw action in 12 games with one start… Finished the year 44-of-107 (.411) as a faceoff specialist with 16 ground balls… Scored two goals with a caused turnover… Won his first faceoff wearing the red, white and blue at Michigan, picking up a ground ball… Was 8-of-14 with two ground balls at Bellarmine… Ended 7-of-19 with a pair of ground balls at Quinnipiac… Posted an 8-of-12 mark with two ground balls and also won a faceoff and sprinted down the field beating the goalie for his first collegiate marker against Monmouth… Was 4-of-8 with two GB’s and a goal versus Canisius… Ended the year winning eight faceoffs with three ground balls and a caused turnover in the MAAC Championship semifinals against Quinnipiac…  Won the Larry Bleach Award at the Annual Academic & Athletic Awards Dinner, presented to a student-athlete who sets the strength and conditioning standards for other student-athletes to follow… A member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the MAAC Academic Honor Roll. 

Prior To Detroit: Comes to Detroit after he spent his freshman campaign with first-year Division I program Boston University… With the Terriers, he saw action in four games and was 2-of-3 in faceoffs with a ground ball… A local kid from Brother Rice, he was a two-time varsity letter winner in high school and was named First Team All-Midwest and All-League as a senior… He helped Brother Rice win a state title as a junior as well as back-to-back conference championships in his two years.

Personal: Son of Kenneth and Suzan Marzec ... Has two brothers... A Software Product Management major with minors in Women's Gender Studies and Computer Science.
