2012: Started all 15 games and the only Titan to start the first 57 games in the program’s history…One of the Titan captains…Third on the team with 15 caused turnovers and tied for eighth picking up 25 ground balls…Part of a Titan defensive unit that led the nation in caused turnovers at 10.47 per game…Also scored his first three collegiate goals, attempting just four shots on the year…Saw a limited time at faceoff winning 4-of-13…Had a great game against Mercer scooping up a season-best five ground balls, causing a season-high three turnovers and scoring his first collegiate goal…Also went 4-of-11 in faceoffs…Tied his season high with three caused TO’s at Quinnipiac, while notching another goal…Registered his second-straight game with a marker finding the back of the net at Canisius along with three GB’s and a pair of caused turnovers…Picked up four ground balls at Manhattan…Led the squad with 18 penalties for 16 total minutes…Named to the MAAC All-Academic Team,the Titan Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the MAAC's Academic Honor Roll.

2011: One of only three Titans to start all 16 games and still remains the only Titan to start all 42 games in the program’s history…Helped a UDM defense finish first in the nation in caused turnovers at 11.63 per game…Was third on the team with 21 caused turnovers, while picking up 22 ground balls…He was 48th in NCAA Division I with 1.31 caused TO’s per game…Posted a season-high four ground balls in the season opener at No. 17 Delaware and in the regular season finale at Marist…Had a season-best three caused turnovers at Mount St. Mary’s…Recorded two caused turnovers in six other games on the year, including in the Detroit victories over Mercer, at Siena and against Manhattan…Had three GB’s and a pair of caused TO’s at Bellarmine…Did not attempt a shot on the season…Was second on the squad with 15 penalties totaling 14 minutes...One of 10 Titans that made both the MAAC All-Academic Team and the MAAC 2010-11 Academic Honor Roll was also a member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

2010: Started all 15 games on defense helping the Titans finish third in the nation with 10.47 caused turnovers per game...Was third on the squad with 19 caused turnovers, while also scooping 25 ground balls…Produced a season-high four caused turnovers at Manhattan…Picked up a career-best six ground balls in a winning effort against Presbyterian…Had four GB’s and three caused TO’s versus Mount St. Mary’s…The top Titan in the penalty box as he was called for 23 infractions for 20 minutes…Earned a spot on the Titan Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

2009: One of the Titans’ top defensive players, McDonald started all 11 games…Collected 11 groundballs with a season-high three at Quinnipiac…Tallied a pair of GB’s against Manhattan, at North Carolina and at Denver…The Titans’ most physical player leading the team with 14 penalties for 12.5 minutes.

Prior to Detroit: A four-year letterwinner in lacrosse as a defenseman, as well as a two-year member of the varsity football team…McDonald earned academic All-Division honors and the Phantom Varsity award as a freshman and sophomore in lacrosse…He also played three years of AAU lacrosse with Team Long Island.

Personal: Son of Sally and John McDonald…Has two brothers and one sister…His oldest brother played football at Iona…A Criminal Justice major.
